If you haven’t watch the movie True Grit or Dances with Wolves, it's time to jump on board. One of this season’s hottest fashion trends takes its shape from the wild wild West.

A multitude of designers have been seen pulling inspiration from the history of Native American blankets, beading, and other Aztec patterns and textiles. Playing with a rich array of earthy desert colours and layered textures, the feel of mix and match has been reborn.

This season take time to have fun with layering colour over your already owned black pieces new earth tones. Search and shop for rich mustard yellows and deep blues. Accessorize with decorated and/or beaded velvet or cutout leather pieces and accents of turquoise.

Regardless of where you reside, local indie designers have been eager to play with this native style -- offering lots for consumers to pick and choose from.

Along with this natural style, hair can be seen on the runways worn in long Pocahontas-style sleek ponytails or in messy Boho braids to emphasize the still sleek and tailored silhouette.  Nail polish trends for this season are showcasing taupe, metallic gold, grey or deep plum.

Enjoy fall shopping this season.
Allow yourself to be inspired and perhaps plan a fall road trip across the country!
